Todd and Alicia Campbell of West Bloomfield will be presenting a program at the Pittsford Library, detailing their nine year journey restoring the 1841 Cobblestone Ontario and Livingston Mutual Insurance Office building. Photos will be shared that highlight the “before’s and after’s” and in-progress stages of the building’s foundation elements, roofing, cobblestone repair, flooring and ceiling re-build, plastering, and finer finishes, including wallpapers and historic paint colors. The efforts will eventually reveal a completed shop with a configuration that matches, as close as possible, the original insurance office from 1841. Their trials and tribulations, along with many lessons learned, will be shared on how to tackle a masonry structure restoration of this significant magnitude.
